Frequently Asked Questions
What’s a daily workout session like?
No workout session is repeated during your four weeks of training. We keep your interest and your curiosity levels high in anticipation of the workouts. Our warm-ups usually consist of calisthenics and total body flexibility exercises to prepare your system for the upcoming session, and we culminate with exercises to cool the body down. In addition, you will enjoy the combination of personal attention and social interaction that the classes offer.
Are you gonna yell at me? I’m scared!
We only yell motivating, positive affirmations, uplifting quotes, and we convince, not confront. We aim to keep you focused on the task at hand. Abuse, harassment – we don’t go there, even if you want us to. If you want verbal abuse, join the military! For positive reinforcement, however, come and enjoy the camaraderie of a non-competitive group workout at BOOT CAMP 619.
What about the weather?
During inclement weather – too hot, too cold, raining, etc. – we will conduct activities indoors at our training locations unless otherwise notified.
Who can/should attend?
BOOT CAMP 619 is designed for all fitness levels. You don’t have to be fit to start. Our assessments are based on the National Academy of Sports Medicine standards. This means you compete against set norms for your age/gender. We establish a baseline during orientation. Also, we perform body fat analysis. We will guide you with finding your resting and target heart rates, blood pressure, girth measurement, and assist you with information for your nutritional goals.
What if I can’t perform a certain exercise?
All exercises will be taught and performed with progression. We will give you modified, low-impact exercises to strengthen your body so that you will be able to condition area that are not as strong.
